Pulau Ubin Island--- Are we still in Singapore?

During this long weekend ( Since 9,Aug is Singapore National Day, 11,Aug becomes paid off-day in most of the company)we went to Marina Country Club's Pulau Ubin
Resort to spend 1 night there......

But unfortunately, my kids are sick and they cannot go along. After I stayed in Pulau Ubin, I feel it is really not suitable for small kids especially for the kids who lived in the city. Because there are more creatures than human beings,everywhere can see the wild dogs touring around.And riding is the only attractive activity in the island. When we ride on bike, looking around and can't help to asking ourselves: are we still in Singapore? If you like biking or just relaxing at seaside doing nothing---Pulau Ubin is a good and cheap place to spend your holiday.

上个周末正好赶上新加坡的国庆日，于是星期一很多公司都放假。我们本来也订好了乌敏岛的度假屋，准备全家去玩。可惜周六下午喜喜又有一点发烧，当然外公外婆也没了游玩的兴致，多出来一个房间，我就叫上徐亮夫妇一起去玩（他们本来也想去，但没定到）。后来去了岛上才发现乌敏岛真得不适合年幼的小朋友们。因为这里的动物多过人，举个例子：野狗随处可见，如果不是骑在脚踏车上，我定会两脚发软。而且这里的娱乐很简单，只有爱骑车的人可以在这里找到快乐的时光。

我们星期天中午乘坐了半小时的渡轮到了乌敏岛，可惜天公不作美，淅淅沥沥的雨下个不停，于是我们只好等雨停了去租脚踏车。四点我们两辆双人车从度假屋出发，骑了大概一个小时到了乌敏岛的著名景点：Chek Java Wetlands.因为是下午涨潮了，看不到各种泥地里的生物，只是看到碧绿的海水湛蓝的天空还有不时飞跃海峡的飞机从我们头顶呼啸而过。放眼望去，视野还是相当辽阔，让人忍不住驻足，拍照留念。

回去的半路上，我们在驳船码头吃了海鲜晚餐。令人难忘的是他们煮的鱼，味感鲜美。然后喝的椰子也不是乌敏岛土产（尽管一路上可以看见很多椰子树）。

因为接到欢欢发高烧的电话，第二天早上我们就匆忙地搭上9 点的渡船回家了（留下徐亮夫妇帮我们还脚踏车）。回想起来真觉得还是朋友好！首先我订多的一间度假屋没有浪费掉，还多了旅游的同伴；其次是小孩子生病时还有好心的邻居朋友来照顾，帮忙。比较上次的度假屋，还是觉得白沙度假屋附近好玩的东西多！不过如果向往恬静悠然的乡村生活，乌敏岛也是不错的选择！
